1:00 to 3: 00 pm at Wymbin Yoga

The forest is coming to Wymbin Yoga.

Join me and my beautiful daughter Gracie Elbel (certified Youth Yoga Instructor) for a two-hour aromatic journey into the F O R E S T.
Shinrin-yoku is a term that means ‘taking in the forest atmosphere’ or ‘forest bathing’. The practice was developed in Japan during the 1980s where it remains a recognized relaxation and/or stress management activity. There have been numerous studies on the positive effects of ‘forest bathing’, with many benefits deeply connected to aromatherapy. One of the fundamental reasons that forest bathing is so good for you is the various essential oils that the trees emit.
This sensory workshop will include::
  • an exploration of the fragrant forest with organic essential oils from Canada and around the world
  • a forest-inspired yoga practice
  • potion-making time to craft your own forest aromatherapy room spray
